Description

Calcium, Magnesium and Anti-Stress Biostimulants in One Concentrate

The Source Elements CalMag Stimulator Plus covers plants' intrinsic need for calcium and magnesium, then goes further: its plant-sourced biostimulant elements carry anti-stress properties that keep fertiliser uptake and use at their maximum. Calcium builds strong cell walls and healthy new growth; magnesium sits at the centre of chlorophyll, so Elements keys straight into photosynthesis and cellular reproduction and helps drive nutrient uptake. It is a highly concentrated formula with no artificial plant growth regulators, used at 0.3 ml per litre in soil and 0.5 ml per litre in coco and hydro at every stage, on hard or soft water.

Key Benefits

  • Calcium and magnesium — the two secondary nutrients that most often run short in coco, soft water and under strong lighting.
  • The 'plus' — plant-sourced biostimulants with anti-stress properties keep uptake at its maximum.
  • Drives photosynthesis — supports chlorophyll production, vigour, flavour and yield.
  • Every stage — growth, flowering and fruiting.
  • Highly concentrated — 0.3–0.5 ml per litre.
  • Soil, coco and hydro — on hard or soft water.

Calcium and Magnesium Deficiency

Rusty spots and distorted new leaves point to calcium running short; yellowing between the veins of older leaves points to magnesium. Both show up most in coco, which holds on to calcium and magnesium, in soft or RO water that carries little of either, and under high-intensity lighting where plants use more. Elements supplies both in every feed and adds anti-stress biostimulants so plants make full use of them, minimising deficiencies before they mark the leaves.

How to Use

  • Mixing order: add The Source Gro or Flo A and B first and set your EC, then add the stimulators. The maker expects EC to climb by about 0.4 to 0.7 once they go in, which is normal.
  • Soil and compost: 0.3 ml per litre at every feed, through all stages.
  • Coco and hydro: 0.5 ml per litre at every feed, through all stages.
  • Hand watering, drip, NFT and flood and drain: 0.5 ml per litre in growth, rising to 1 ml per litre through flowering (the maker's chart for these methods).
  • AutoPot systems: 0.3 ml (soil) or 0.5 ml (coco and hydro) per litre; the short-season AutoPot charts stop Elements after week 5 of flowering.
  • Greenhouse crops such as tomatoes and chillies: 0.3 ml per litre through the season.
  • pH: set the reservoir to about pH 5.8 for soil and compost and about pH 5.6 for coco or rockwool, as The Source recommends.

Note — The Source's label (soil 0.3 ml, coco and hydro 0.5 ml per litre) and feed charts. Add equal amounts of The Source Gro or Flo A and B to the water first and set your EC, then add the stimulators; the maker expects EC to rise by roughly 0.4 to 0.7 once they are in. Set EC first, then adjust pH.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I still need Elements on hard tap water?

The Source includes Elements in every one of its feed charts at the rates shown, on hard or soft water: it is part of the programme rather than only a deficiency fix.

Is it suitable for coco?

Yes. Coco is where calcium and magnesium most often run short; use 0.5 ml per litre at every feed.

Can I use it with another brand's nutrients?

The maker designed it to run with Gro and Flo and recommends the complete Source range rather than mixing in other additives.
