Description
A Two-Part Flowering Feed for Strong Bloom and Fruit Development
The Source Flo A&B is the two-part base nutrient for the flowering and fruiting stage in The Source range, sold as a matched Part A and Part B set. Flo A has an NPK of 5-0-4 and Flo B an NPK of 0.5-9-5, giving the phosphorus and potassium plants need for a strong start to bloom and steady progress right through flowering. Both parts carry chelated trace elements (EDTA-chelated manganese, zinc, boron, copper, cobalt and molybdenum), amino acids, fulvic acids, natural humic acids, vitamins and sugars and natural stress-relieving agents; Flo A also includes natural plant-extract growth hormones, with no artificial plant growth regulators. The maker says the blend enhances flower and fruit development, oil production and sugar levels while keeping growth robust, in soil, coco or hydro, whatever the hardness of your water.
Key Benefits
- Bloom-stage NPK — Flo A 5-0-4 and Flo B 0.5-9-5, mixed in equal amounts.
- Fruit and flower development — formulated to support flower formation, oil production and sugar levels.
- Chelated trace elements — readily available manganese, zinc, boron, copper, cobalt and molybdenum.
- Organic acids built in — amino, fulvic and humic acids, vitamins and sugars in both parts.
- Any water — performs irrespective of water hardness and pH, in soil, coco and hydro.
- Designed for AutoPot — and equally at home in hand-watered, drip, NFT and flood and drain systems.
Running Short of Phosphorus and Potassium in Flower
When plants switch to flowering, their demand shifts towards phosphorus and potassium. A grow feed carried into bloom leaves flowers and fruit short, slow to develop and lacking flavour, while nutrient uptake falls behind the plant's needs. Flo's B part supplies the extra phosphorus and potassium and Flo A keeps nitrogen and potassium available, so plants are fed for structure as well as for fruit and flower development from the first week of bloom.
How to Use
- Mixing: add equal amounts of Part A and Part B to the water, stirring between parts, until you reach your target EC. Measure your plain water first; tap water usually reads between 0.1 and 0.8 EC.
- EC: keep young plants low at about 1.0–1.4 EC, rising to 1.7–2.4 EC as they grow, per The Source's guidance.
- Stimulators after: add Origin, Delta, Elements or Alluvium once A and B are in; EC will rise by about 0.4–0.7, which is expected.
- Soil and compost: 1 ml of each part per litre for the first two weeks of flowering, then 1.5 ml (label range 1–1.5 ml).
- Coco and hydro: 1.5 ml of each part per litre (AutoPot chart; label range 1.5–2 ml).
- Hand watering, drip, NFT and flood and drain: 1 ml of each part for weeks one and two, then 1.5 ml.
- Greenhouse crops such as tomatoes and chillies: 1 ml of each part for the first three weeks of flowering, then 1.5 ml to the end of the season.
- pH: set the reservoir to about pH 5.8 for soil and compost and about pH 5.6 for coco or rockwool, as The Source recommends.

Frequently Asked Questions
When do I switch from Gro to Flo?
When the growth stage is complete, ideally not before week two of growth. Greenhouse crops change over at the first sign of flower set.
Do I add the same amount of A and B?
Yes. Always add equal amounts of Part A and Part B to the water until you reach your target EC.
Do I need a PK booster as well?
Flo carries the bloom-stage NPK on its own; The Source adds its Alluvium PK Stimulator alongside it on the flowering charts at low rates for extra phosphorus and potassium.
Will it work with hard tap water?
Yes. The maker formulated Flo to perform irrespective of water hardness and pH.
