Five-Module SANlight Power for 150cm Tents and Rooms
The Sanlight EVO 5-150 is the longest five-module fixture in SANlight's EVO range: a 1318mm passively cooled LED bar that draws 320W and delivers 870 µmol/s, built in Austria for growing areas 150cm deep. Two of them in a 150 x 150cm tent give the maximum usable light intensity, while leaving the middle of the tent free for the extractor and carbon filter. This is the original-generation EVO 5-150; the later 1.5 version uses the same housing at 340W.

Uneven Light and Lost Headroom in Big Tents
A single large panel in the middle of a 1.5m tent leaves the edges short of light and fills the centre of the roof, so the filter and fan end up in the way and the canopy grows unevenly. Two slim EVO 5-150 fixtures hung either side of centre and tilted inwards light the whole floor from two directions, cut shading between leaves and keep the middle clear – which is how SANlight reach an average of 680 µmol/m²/s across a 150 x 150cm tent without CO₂, as a replacement for a 1000W HPS lamp. With CO₂ enrichment, three fixtures average about 1,040 µmol/m²/s.
How to Use
- 150 x 150cm tent: 2 fixtures about 50cm above the canopy, 90cm apart (30cm from the walls), tilted 11°
- With CO₂ (150 x 150cm): 3 fixtures – the middle one level at 30cm, the outer two at 25cm, 20cm from the walls and tilted 11°
- Power: the fixture ships without a mains lead – connect it with SANlight's EVO power cord (sold separately), and use SANlight cables only when daisy-chaining
- Young plants: start higher or dimmed and lower or brighten as they establish
- Cleaning: power off and wipe the optics with a dry, dust-free cloth

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a power cable included?
No. SANlight leave the mains lead out so each set-up can use the right cable – straight, angled, Y-cord or daisy-chain leads. You need one SANlight EVO power cord per fixture or chain.
How many do I need for my tent?
SANlight recommend two EVO 5-150s for a 150 x 150cm tent, and three if you enrich with CO₂. The fixture is optimised for a 150cm side length, so it also suits 150cm-deep rooms in rows.
What is the difference from the EVO 5-150 1.5?
Same 1318mm housing and optics. This original version draws 320W for 870 µmol/s; the 1.5 version draws 340W for 915 µmol/s.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes, through its 0-10V port with the SANlight M-Dimmer, the Bluetooth dimmer or an external controller – for TrolMaster, use the RJ12 adapter cable.
