Best Dehumidifiers for Grow Rooms: 2026 Buying Guide
Share
Size a dehumidifier on its realistic litres per day: headline figures are usually measured at 30°C and 80% humidity, and at normal room conditions you get about half. For most grow rooms that makes the RAM 20L the pick, rated both ways. For a single tent, the AC Infinity Hydrone is the right size.

How to choose
- Measure first. Log humidity for a few days, especially the hour after lights-off, when it usually peaks.
- Size on the realistic figure. If only a 30°C, 80% rating is given, expect about half in a room held near 60%.
- Match the machine to the space. A tent wants a tent-sized unit; room units need floor space and clearance.
- Plan the water and the heat. A drain or pump lets it run all night, and its wattage ends up as heat your extraction must remove.
- Set a night target. The G.A.S Day & Night controller (£99.45) runs any plug-in dehumidifier up to 2,000W against separate day and night targets.

Quick answers
What size dehumidifier do I need for a grow room?
Size on a realistic rating. As a guide, Aqualine rate 12 litres for about 15m², 20 litres for 20m² and 40 litres for 30–40m², and a room full of plants needs more than an empty one.
Why does my dehumidifier collect less than its rating?
Most ratings are taken at 30°C and 80% humidity, hotter and damper than a typical grow room. RAM’s 20 litre unit, for example, is rated 10 litres a day at 27°C and 60%.
Does a dehumidifier make the room hotter?
Yes. Its own electricity ends up as heat, and so does the energy released as water condenses. Allow for it in summer by sizing extraction or cooling to match.
Can a dehumidifier go inside a grow tent?
A tent-sized one can, and the Hydrone can also sit outside and be ducted in. Room units need floor space and wall clearance, so put them in the room around the tent.
